CITY A.M. has reported that a limited section of Crossrail opened over the weekend, allowing passengers to travel between Reading and Paddington in under an hour. The new line, under the banner of Transport for London, marks the largest opening of any part of the Crossrail project, which was originally intended to open in December 2018. TfL predicts the central part of the line should open by 2021.

At the LEP Network, we know the huge value of giving LEPs a forum to share best practice and engage with other stakeholders, so we are delighted to be involved with a transport-specific project which supports spending decisions that make a genuine difference.
