A new consultation has been launched in response to revised plans for the Lower Thames Crossing Scheme.  The initial consultation received 47,000 responses and the scheme has received strong opposition from campaigners and councils claiming that the it will threaten wetlands and increase air pollution due to increased car use.  The revised plan has included some mitigation measures for local residents and the new consultation will run until 20 December.

At the LEP Network, we know the huge value of giving LEPs a forum to share best practice and engage with other stakeholders, so we are delighted to be involved with a transport-specific project which supports spending decisions that make a genuine difference.
