Government group consider other forms of transport particle pollution

The government’s Air Quality Expert Group has said more should be done by transport manufacturers and the government to reduce air pollution from sources other than exhaust emissions. Research finds over half of all particle pollution from road transport comes from brake, tyre and road surface wear, with no legislation currently in place to limit or reduce these particles.
