Northern businesses show support for Northern Powerhouse Rail

The Yorkshire Post has reported that a survey of 5000 Northern businesses has revealed support for Northern Powerhouse Rail (NPR), an initiative to increase the connectivity of northern towns and cities through high-speed rail links. The results show 99% believe NPR would raise productivity in the Northern Powerhouse; 85% believe NPR would increase inward investment; 62% would recruit from a wider geographic area; and 43% would look to expand or relocate to encourage growth.
