Nottingham to open first local authority ran EV service centre

Nottingham City Council has announced it will be opening an electric vehicle service centre this summer offering MOT’s and servicing to the public as well as maintain the council’s fleet of electric vehicles. The council aims to make the city carbon neutral by 2028 and to convert 22% of all its vehicles into ultra-low emission ones by 2020. Nottingham was also the first local authority to have its air quality plan approved by the government, confirming a clean air zone will not be introduced in the city.
