Passenger Delay Compensation Data

The Office of Road and Rail has published rail delay compensation data for rail period 1 – 7 (1 April 2018 – 13 October 2018). Analysis found that there were 3 million delay compensation claims closed by train operators in this period, which includes claims that were both approved and rejected. 92% of delay compensation claims were closed within 20 working days and of these claims, 84.1% were approved by train operators.
