“Pollution busting” buses to be rolled out in Southampton

As reported by the Times, the Go-Ahead Group has announced the introduction of five “pollution busting” buses in Southampton following a successful trial. The buses contain air filters on the roof that allow the removal of up to 99.5 percent of particulate pollution as the bus travels along its route. There are plans to bring the buses into operation in other cities including Manchester and Oxford.
