West Midlands MPs back HS2

BirminghamLive has reported that Conservative and Labour MPs in Birmingham have collaborated to urge Prime Minister, Boris Johnson to continue with plans to construct HS2. In a joint letter to the Prime Minister, the MP’s stated that “We know that HS2 is not without its problems and there are valid concerns about the escalating costs but we believe the delivery of the project in full is vital. It comes after West Midlands Mayor, Andy Street warned last week that scrapping HS2 could “set back” the revival of the West Midlands “by decades”.
