03 March 2020 – Decarbonising transport: a Transport Knowledge Hub national workshop

In the year that the UK is hosting COP26, the TKH workshop on decarbonising transport will be one of the first national events focused on how to provide a credible framework for the decarbonisation of transport. The event will include a panel session at which witnesses will make their case for how sustainable transport can contribute to decarbonisation.

The workshop will bring together the TKH community, Sub-National Transport Bodies, Local Enterprise Partnerships, local authorities, government officials and other decision-makers. We will discuss and share how we can find timely and cost-effective solutions to the challenges faced with achieving sustainable and inclusive growth in the context of delivering on the net zero target for decarbonisation.

The event is by invitation only.  If you are interested in attending, please email transportknowledgehub@connectpa.co.uk

With LEPs now responsible for significant amounts of local transport funding decisions, the Transport Knowledge Hub is a timely new tool for local decision makers. At the LEP Network, we know the huge value of giving LEPs a forum to share best practice and engage with other stakeholders, so we are delighted to be involved with a transport-specific project which supports spending decisions that make a genuine difference.
